| Health Component Juvenile Services has recntly established a cooperative relationship with the Arkansas Department of Health to provide access to health resources for the members of the Our Club organization. Health screenings, health education seminars and a health fair are offered at the Our Club sites at no cost to the children and their families. This component ensures that the children in low income families who may not be able to obtain medical services will be able to lead healthy lives. |

Ropes Course Juvenile Services has recently completed a Ropes Course ChallengeComponent, which is a great learning program that challenges youth to go beyond their perceived boundaries, to work with others to solve problems, and to experience success. Over one million people have used this approach to realize increased self confidence, develop the power of group cooperation, and to learn to view obstacles as opportunities for growth. This component is characterized by an atmosphere that is fun, supportive, and challenging. Non-competitive games, group solving initiatives, and challenge course vents are the principle activities we use to help individuals reach their goals. |

Our Club Incentives The Our Club incentive component, designed for positive prevention, recognizes youth for hard work they demonstrate in becoming productive citizens. Youth receive gift cards earned through their participation and performance in Our Club. Upon receiving their gift card for the first time, youth are engaged in a Money Management workshop through the Federal Reserve Bank, which teaches youth to combat money problems and to contribute to the economic and community base. |

Entrepreneurial Program Each year, Our Club youth are given the opportunity to attend a two-week long Junior Achievement class which enables youth to: have confidence when balancing personal finances, determine future career options, successfully use interpersonal skills in the workplace, and effectively present themselves to the job market. After the completion of the course-work, youth “hit the field” to experience various career options through job shadowing at area businesses. |

Cultural Enrichment The Our Club Cultural Enrichment component was designed to “open the eyes” of youth to struggles their ancestors experienced, and expose youth to new ideas and ways of understanding. Some cultural enrichment trips include: Mid America Museum in Hot Springs, Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Delta Cultural Center in Helena and the Plantation Agricultural Museum in Scott. |

Community Service The Our Club Community Service component was designed to connect youth to the community through special projects. This component exposes youth to new events, circumstances and opportunities. By focusing on their strengths and talents, while connecting them to the community, we can begin to draw on all our resources to provide positive alternatives for youth at risk of involvement with destructive behavior. |
